It's good to stand back and re-evaluate one's dreams.


I am.... sorry to hear you sounding slightly sad as you work through the stages of letting go of a dream. It's hard. And I hope you can find a new dream to inspire you and spur you on.

I never had a strong burning desire to be self-sufficient. I did read some blogs by people going that route, but was fairly quickly put off by some of the issues you mention (the money issue, the sheer physicality of it, in my case I quite like being able to up and leave to go visit my family who live in another country...). Instead I aspire to being able to work part-time and grow more food, either in my garden or in an allotment. (So incidentally I am aspiring to what you have already achieved :-) ).


Hi Maria, I always forget about what I have achieved and focus on the things I haven't. A bad habit I am trying to change!
