Not a lot going on here. Coming to the end of the growing season and everything is going over now with the cool autumn nights. Weeds abound.
Except of course in the polytunnel. Summer is still in full swing in there!
The tomatoes above are my "free tomatoes". That is, whenever I pruned out a good sized side shoot from a tomato plant I stuck it in some compost. So these tiddly extra plants have now give me some additional free food.
What is very interesting to me is the yellow tomatoes.
I haven't grown any yellow tomatoes this year so how did I end up with them from a side shoot off a red plant? I am assuming the main plants were F1 hybrids and the side shoots ended up growing as one of the true parental types?
Anyway, I don't care. They were super yummy and I ate them all before I got back to the house!
