What a great and varied post. I love your thrifted items - the picture is beautiful. I used to be a school cook and always made the custard in a huge double sauspan with water in the bottom - now,at home, I make it in the microwave!

Thank you for the Ercol wood restoration recipe, I will give it a go with some Ercol finds I have.

Love the Ercol tables! I will try your repair kit on my Ercol Headboard. Does it matter if the vinegar is clear or not.


Do you know Vic, I can't remember whether I used white or malt, but I suspect it was malt. I don't often buy white vinegar because the malt is cheaper!
