How exciting but I know what you mean about never finding photos of the kitchen you want. Take a look at for some ideas, they really know how to pack a lot into a little kitchen space. I love Elspeth too, the thrifting girl's Sarah Ravens.


Thank you for the link to Elspeth Thompson. I have wittled away an afternoon reading her blog from start to finish.. it's truly fantastic... and I've reserved some of her books from the library!



I know what your going through, we have a tiny galley kitchen too, in the end we got a local carpenter to make us 2 simple units (one with a belfast sink in) with oak work surfaces, the one up side of a small kitchen is it wont cost an arm and a leg to have custom made units! Then we just added reclaimed bits and bobs.
