I think you've already made great strides towards self sufficiency and set yourself extremely high goals. Growing what you can makes a huge difference and if everyone did as much the benefits would be enormous. I get the impression, and there will be a ranting post from me before too long, that most people don't give a monkey's about the environment or their own wellbeing, so you are one of the heroes already.


Ok Jenny, I'm blushing now. A hero? [more blushing].

I think you're right about people not caring too much, but there's also the feeling of futility that any efforts they make will be a drop in the ocean so they might as well not bother and be like everyone else.

Back to that herd mentality again.
