Like many hoarders of vintage and vintage-style collectables, I fall in love with everything I find on my travels and hate to get rid of any of it.
Yet there are times when my rooms and cupboards are so over-flowing with stuff I have to thin them out before I disappear under it when it all falls over.
On the rare occasions when 'thinning' occurs, I put the items here for sale.
And then privately agonise I've done the wrong thing and love them too much to part with them.
This beautiful little pair of bud vases were originally sold by Marks and Spencer in 1985 as part of a much wider range of matching items. They are 6 inches tall and in perfect condition.
By the way, if you would like more items from this range I know that Debbie over at Debbies English Treasures is selling another 4 items. Here's the link to have a look.
It took all of my restraint not to go over there and buy them myself!
I couldn't resist this cross stitch when I saw it. It's been stitched to a very high standard and then framed against a pale blue mount. The stitcher's name has been signed in pencil on the mount. The frame measures 11 x 11 inches and is ready to hang.
The frame has a couple of very small dinks that are hardly noticeable when the picture is hung.
(excuse my reflection!)
There's no markings on this plate so I can't tell you much about its origins, but I believe it is part of a dressing table set. However, I've been using it to serve cakes on and it looks lovely in the centre of the table!
The plate measures 11 and 3/4 inches by 9 inches and there are no cracks. It does have some crazing to the glaze, but it's an older piece so that's often to be expected. I also think it has been displayed on a wire plate hanger, perhaps hung on a wall, as the bottom underside edge has two distinctive marks.
Two very simple fun pictures - Turkey Creek Farm and Hen House Farm - that would look good hung in a kitchen or utility room. They measure 11 and 1/4 inches by 5 and 1/2 inches, and have two eye hooks sellotaped to the back of each, so will need to position them and string cord through them before you can hang the pictures up.
